Visit from Grandma and Grandad

We had an extraordinarily productive visit with Stewart's parents. Stewart and his father fixed the plumbing issues, got the heated floor in our bathroom working and replaced the light fixture in Matthew's room.   Among Matthew's achievements during this visit was coming to terms with the idea of having a different overhead light than the one he was used to. He was able, eventually, to participate in selecting a new one. In addition, he made cinnamon rolls with Grandma and great progress on his Lego Fire Station. 

Stewart gave the family a remote controlled, helium filled, flying clown fish for Christmas. It's quite an object that moves by waving its tail back and forth.  It is eerily true to life for being a 4 ft long giant balloon. When not in use, it glides silently through the house blown by the central heating, surprising people and attempting to escape through open doors. Matthew, it appears, has a few boy skills, most notably being a facility with remote control toys. We can't wait to try out the shark version Zim and Kat gave us for Christmas and have a flying fish race.
