Fall is here! It is chilly by California standards, there was even frost on the garage roof. We had to let the cars warm up so the ice would melt off them (we left our ice scrapers in Boston). On an absolute scale of coldness, it's actually not impressive at all, but we tend not to buy winter clothing as it is only needed for 1 week out of the year. We layer instead. Here is Owen about as bundled as it gets, wearing his new hat.
It was another all boys Thanksgiving. Poor John was post call again but made it in from San Francisco. We were delighted that Brian came out to visit us as well. He was incredibly patient about having the boys jump all over him and kept them entertained. Everyone had a great time. Matthew was able to help with the cooking this year. He helped me make the pumpkin pie filling and mash the potatoes. The boys love to run the length of our hallway and leap onto the bean bags or any adult willing to catch them.
