Don't think Stewart's parents are relaxing during their retirement. They arrived in California and hit the ground running. In addition to the making cinnamon rolls, Mary Jo and the boys worked their way through an Alaskan Cookbook making pocket pizzas, baked apples and a smoothie.
David helped us with a number of household projects, the most significant being Chelsea-proofing our chicken area and painting Matthew's room. David and Stewart had painted Stewart's room when Stewart was Matthew's age. Stewart wanted to give Matthew the same opportunity. Matthew helped pick out the paint, apply the painters tape, use the rollers and learned how to be helpful. The result was very successful and Matthew was thrilled to be able to participate.
