Good Bye Ladera Preschool

Here is our big boy in his preschool photo. His teachers are all in agreement, he has outgrown preschool and is ready for kindergarten.  We will miss Ladera. Having had an unsuccessful experience at a different school, we have a special appreciation for Matthew's wonderful teachers and program. He grew tremendously in his time there and we are very proud of him.

At his graduation all the children were introduced by their self- declared future professions. Matthew chose "Race Car Driver." His class is apparently populated by speed junkies because almost to a man, the boys chose piloting a fast motor vehicle as their dream job. Interestingly, among the girls, Mommy and Princess (fairy or otherwise) were the most popular with a few teachers and health care professionals thrown in.

Matthew will attend El Carmelo, his neighborhood public school, for kindergarten.  He is thrilled by the idea of

Matthew at his Star Celebration
riding his bike to school next year and very ready to take the next step in his education. He starts Lego and Science camps next week.

Matthew is not the only one moving on. Owen will attend camp for 2 weeks in June before starting preschool at Trinity in the fall.
