| After Santa arrived |
| Christmas Eve |
We have very few photographs from Christmas Day this year. It was an all-hands-on-deck experience. The boys are still young enough that Christmas is sweet. Every gift was greeted with squeals of delight and genuine appreciation. Between Santa and Bee, Matthew accumulated 30 boxes of Annie's Mac and Cheese.
The entire holiday season has been something of a blur, a kind of run on sentence. We decorated a tree, Stewart rigged up remote controlled Christmas lights on the house, Matthew hid the remote and then forgot where he hid it, we saw the insane Christmas lights on Eucalyptus street and the boys slid down a man-made snow slide on the sidewalk, the boys caught a stomach bug the week before Christmas, Stewart and I went to the Cirque de Soleil for my birthday, my parents came to visit, Matthew decided that he would take off from the schoolyard and ride his bike home all by himself, and Owen declared that he was beautiful and told anyone who would listen that today, he had woken up in his big boy bed.
Then we all slept for most of Christmas afternoon.
