Vacation!

Never has a vacation been as needed, appreciated or enjoyed as our trip to Kauai. Other than 4 wonderful days in Napa Valley 2 years ago, Stewart and I have not been on vacation by ourselves since Matthew was born. Stewart's parents agreed to stay with Matthew and Owen so we could get away and we are so very, very grateful. We hiked, went on a helicopter ride, saw many beautiful vistas, looked at waterfalls, watched surfers and movies, got very muddy and saw many, many roaming chickens. Stewart explored hiking in his five fingers eliciting all sorts of questions and appreciative comments. Kauai is relatively free of enormous hotels and people packed on tiny beaches. It is altogether lovely.
